As the lead for Nourison's collection books, I oversee the design and production of three major books each year, starting in 2022. Each book spans 160-260 pages and features our latest rug collections, including all relevant information and imagery. I collaborate closely with the VP of Marketing and lead a team of three designers to ensure the entire process runs efficiently from start to finish. Below is an outline of how I manage the process:

  • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to set the creative direction for each collection book, making sure it aligns with the brand and marketing goals.

  • Lead a team of three designers, guiding the design process, brainstorming ideas, and ensuring the overall look matches our vision.

  • Select and curate images that showcase the beauty and craftsmanship of our rugs, making sure they truly reflect the vibe of each collection.

  • Work with photographers to get the perfect shots that align with our design and brand message.

  • Find and manage the printer to make sure we get the best quality print at the right price, and that everything is delivered on time.

  • Review and refine the design, working through initial concepts, tweaking layouts, and making sure every detail is just right.

  • Handle revisions by working with the VP of Marketing and import team making sure all feedback is incorporated while keeping the design on track.

  • Cross-check all information in the books by reviewing it multiple times with different team members to ensure all the details are accurate and nothing is missed.

  • Make sure everything stays on schedule, from the initial design work to the final print, ensuring timely delivery of the finished product.

    By overseeing the entire process, I ensure each collection book not only looks great but also serves as a key marketing tool to showcase Nourison Home’s products. The books are created in both digital and print formats, with each collection featuring a QR code that allows customers to easily find the products online.
